3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Tarver! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salsbury fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tarver to the ground. Salsbury is now in Tarver's guard. Salsbury has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Tarver working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Salsbury doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Salsbury manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tarver looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tarver is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Salsbury accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tarver throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Salsbury was covering up waiting for the punch and Tarver finishes the takedown easily into guard. Tarver is fighting to break Salsbury's control of his arms but Salsbury is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Tarver thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Salsbury has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Salsbury manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
