Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Glass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sakari Nurmi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glass comes into the arena with Lamb of God- Walk With Me In Hell blaring out of the sound system. Nurmi is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Turisas -Take the day!. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Bobby Glass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sakari Nurmi! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nurmi closes the distance and clinches. Nurmi gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Nurmi is working Glass over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Glass throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Glass is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Nurmi lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Nurmi is looking to take a break and control but Glass is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Glass gets full guard. Glass keeping moving, preventing Nurmi from controlling successfully. Glass looking for a guillotine here but Nurmi defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Glass has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nurmi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nurmi wants to control from the top but Glass keeps moving. Nurmi working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Glass's head. Glass throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nurmi trying to control but Glass is working from the bottom. Glass is trying to keep Nurmi in close.
Nurmi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Glass works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Glass avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Nurmi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Glass swivels though and keeps the full guard. Glass trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nurmi cracks Glass with a solid left hand. Nurmi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Glass has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nurmi has managed to get both his arms back between Glass's legs - danger averted. Nurmi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Glass is keeping the position for now. Nurmi wants to control from the top but Glass keeps moving. Glass is pulling down on Nurmi's head. It's preventing any offense from Nurmi, at least for the moment. Nurmi throwing strikes but missing. Nurmi is looking to pass into half guard but Glass pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Glass is in guard. Nurmi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Glass keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Glass looking for submissions off his back.

Nurmi working the ground and pound. Glass is not content to let Nurmi control the position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nurmi working the ground and pound from side control. Glass takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Sakari Nurmi dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A good leg kick by Nurmi. Glass shoots in looking for a takedown. Nurmi tries to sprawl out of it but Glass keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nurmi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Glass avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Glass accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Glass with a flurry of punches that miss. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Nurmi throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nurmi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Glass manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nurmi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nurmi gets a takedown into half guard. Glass looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nurmi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Sakari Nurmi has got the better of the ground game so far. Glass trying to control from the bottom.
Glass won't allow Nurmi to pass to mount. Nurmi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Glass has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glass looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Glass looking for submissions off his back. Nurmi is trying to work for a kimura but Glass is defending well.
Glass won't allow Nurmi to pass to mount. Glass is not content to let Nurmi control the position. Glass is trying to get back to full guard. Nurmi landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Nurmi works his foot free and advances to mount. Nurmi prevents Glass from getting the reversal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Glass is bucking up trying to escape but Nurmi cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Nurmi in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nurmi landing strikes from the mount and Glass is in trouble! Nurmi cracks Glass with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
