The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lopez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Teller sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lopez somewhat. Lopez fails with the takedown and Teller counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lopez! Lopez prevents Teller from taking his back. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lopez can do anything to dispel that myth. Teller content just to control the position here. Lopez wants to control but Teller is having none of it. Lopez really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Lopez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Lopez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Teller kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Teller looking to secure an arm triangle but Lopez defends it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo!
