Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Franco Micheli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wilson wants it to stay on the feet.
Wilson fails to land with a series of punches.
Wilson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Micheli manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wilson regains half guard.
Wilson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Micheli seems to be working for a kimura but Wilson defends the submission attempt.
Micheli takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Wilson gets full guard.
Micheli stops Wilson from standing up.
Micheli drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Micheli jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Wilson wants to stand and escape but Micheli is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilson uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Wilson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Micheli counters with a takedown into side control.
Wilson looks winded!
Micheli working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Micheli passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Wilson!
Wilson is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Micheli moves to back control.
Micheli has the hooks in. Wilson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Micheli's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Wilson controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Micheli has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Wilson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Wilson is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Micheli gets his way!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wilson manages to stand up with Micheli still on his back. Eventually Micheli drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.
Micheli misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Wilson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Micheli.
Wilson misses with a two punch combination.
Micheli shoots in and drives through. Wilson sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franco Micheli. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Micheli shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Wilson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Wilson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Micheli puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Micheli seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Wilson is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

A relieved looking Franco Micheli thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
