Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hector Lombard!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith missing with a left hand there. Lombard was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Smith's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Smith duly obliges.
Smith defending well as Lombard loads up on a big left hand.
Lombard throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smith sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Smith lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Smith throws a hook to the side of Lombard's head but Lombard sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lombard misses with a hook. Smith ducked under it nicely.
Smith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lombard was well out of range. Poor timing from Smith.

Smith fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Smith slips under a jab from Lombard.
Smith clobbers Lombard with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Smith missing with a left hand there. Lombard was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lombard uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Smith.
Smith throws a series of punches but Lombard avoids them all with ease.
Lombard avoids the body shot from Smith.

Smith throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lombard stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lombard slips under a jab from Smith.
Smith lands with a nice combination. Lombard backs away looking to recover.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith misses with a two punch combination.
Smith connects with a crisp jab.
Smith looks to land a left hand but Lombard moved out of range nicely.
Smith moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Smith lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Smith scores with a body shot.
Smith avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Smith throws an overhand right that lands on Lombard's shoulder, as Lombard tries to avoid the shot.
Smith looks to throw the jab but Lombard is out of range.

Lombard on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Smith will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lombard takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Lombard takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Smith rushes Lombard with punches - Lombard moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Lombard goes down! Smith follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Smith!
A relieved looking John Smith thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
