Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kendrik St. Laurent! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Greg Walker! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker shoots in looking for a takedown. St. Laurent tries to sprawl out of it but Walker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. St. Laurent manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. St. Laurent looks to land a right hand but Walker moved out of range. Walker fails with the takedown. St. Laurent misses the jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from St. Laurent. Walker fails to land the takedown. Kendrik St. Laurent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Walker.
That's one minute gone in the round. St. Laurent looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Walker is fending him off so far but St. Laurent persists. Nope, Walker circles away and we're back to standing. St. Laurent tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. St. Laurent stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and St. Laurent wants it to stay on the feet. St. Laurent shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Walker counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in St. Laurent's guard now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Walker throws an elbow that misses. St. Laurent uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Walker's guard. Nice move by St. Laurent! Walker pulls St. Laurent in close to prevent any damage. Walker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from St. Laurent. Walker keeping moving, preventing St. Laurent from controlling successfully. St. Laurent postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control St. Laurent kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
We're going to have a standup here because Kendrik St. Laurent wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Walker has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from St. Laurent finds it's way round the side to connect with Walker's head. Walker shoots in but no luck this time. St. Laurent stuffs the takedown attempt from Walker. Walker gets slowly back to his feet. Walker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but St. Laurent avoids it really well and circles away. A slow jab from St. Laurent misses its intended target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. St. Laurent tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Walker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Walker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. St. Laurent looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Walker is trying to ground and pound but St. Laurent uses the momentary lack of control by Walker to regain half guard. St. Laurent keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Greg Walker dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Walker throws a big right hand that misses. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but St. Laurent is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. St. Laurent preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Walker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Walker is looking to work some ground and pound but St. Laurent has wrist control. Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but St. Laurent is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Walker throws a big elbow that misses. Walker throws a strike but St. Laurent rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Walker wants to sweep here but St. Laurent controlling him for the moment.

Walker is controlling St. Laurent's trapped leg to prevent St. Laurent from advancing to side control. St. Laurent trying to control the action but Walker is working from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. St. Laurent missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Greg Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. St. Laurent would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Greg Walker has got the better of the ground game so far. Walker wants to sweep here but St. Laurent controlling him for the moment. St. Laurent sitting in guard, not really doing much. St. Laurent has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Walker is proving hard to escape from. St. Laurent is pushing down on Walker's leg trying to pass to half guard. Walker is fighting to maintain full guard but St. Laurent has managed to sneak the leg through. Walker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with St. Laurent. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walker can do anything to dispel that myth. Walker is positioning himself well to prevent St. Laurent advancing to mount.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. St. Laurent is trying hard to land a takedown here. Walker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Walker shoots in for a takedown but St. Laurent shows good takedown defense. Walker moves forwards but St. Laurent connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Walker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Walker throws a strike but St. Laurent avoids it easily and moves to full guard. St. Laurent is looking for a triangle but Walker pushes his legs off easily.
Walker is looking to work some ground and pound but St. Laurent has wrist control. Kendrik St. Laurent has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Greg Walker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Walker throws a big right hand that misses. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Walker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Walker postures up in St. Laurent's guard and throws a big left but St. Laurent blocks it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Walker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Greg Walker. I've got Walker winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Greg Walker! After the fight, Greg Walker was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
