Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gianpaolo Cassano!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cassano has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Banas.
Banas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cassano manages to avoid it.
Cassano looks to land a combination. Banas sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Banas shoots in and gets a takedown into Cassano's guard.
Cassano wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Banas manages to pass to side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cassano is trying to stand.
Banas lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Banas scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Cassano?
Cassano tries to buck Banas off but he can't manage it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Banas postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Cassano in real trouble here! The ref calls for Cassano to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
