Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Sunshine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charlie Maccarone!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sunshine misses with a wild body shot.
Maccarone throws a sloppy head kick and Sunshine moves out of range easily.
Maccarone jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Sunshine rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maccarone moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sunshine clobbers Maccarone with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Maccarone just misses with a punch to the body.
Sunshine lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Sunshine digs a good body shot into Maccarone's ribs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nice defenses there by Maccarone.
Maccarone keeps Sunshine at a distance using the push kick.
Sunshine comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sunshine throws an overhand right that lands on Maccarone's shoulder, as Maccarone tries to avoid the shot.
Sunshine wants to stay close but Maccarone steps back to make room for something. Sunshine seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Maccarone and Sunshine drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Charlie Maccarone!
Charlie Maccarone opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
