Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shigetoshi Kaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaaron Cent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaga comes to the cage accompanied by Fighting 17th - Hans Zimmer. Shigetoshi Kaga has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shigetoshi Kaga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jaaron Cent! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cent takes one to the chin there. Cent looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kaga is fending him off so far but Cent persists. Nope, Kaga circles away and we're back to standing. Kaga fails to land with a series of punches.
Cent shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kaga but Kaga pushes him off and we're back to square one. Cent drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kaga is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Cent is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Kaga gets back to half guard. Cent is working for a submission of some sort.
Cent frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Kaga tries to hold on but Cent postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaga is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kaga is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kaga is breathing heavily. Kaga is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Cent is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! A solid leg kick lands there for Kaga.
Kaga walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Cent checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Cent tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kaga swivels and escapes. Shigetoshi Kaga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jaaron Cent. Kaga stuffs the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kaga works over Cent's head and body with a nice combination. Kaga tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kaga throws a head kick that Cent semi-blocks.
Cent darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Kaga is looking for a sweep. Cent is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Cent seems to be looking for submissions.
Kaga gets back to full guard.
Kaga looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cent has picked Kaga up and slammed him! Kaga can't keep hold of the triangle and Cent manages to pass to side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kaga is looking to reverse the position. Kaga manages to get back to half guard. Kaga tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Cent has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Kaga gives up his back whilst trying to strike.
Kaga breaks Cent's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Kaga wants to control from the top but Cent keeps moving. Kaga looking to pass the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jaaron Cent will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Shigetoshi Kaga's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kaga tries a head kick but it misses.
Cent avoids the head kick by Kaga.
Cent should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Kaga scores with a leg kick.
Kaga tries to clinch up. Kaga throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Cent circles away from the clinch attempt.
Shigetoshi Kaga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kaga misses with a head kick.
Kaga attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Cent shoots in for a double leg but Kaga sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Nice straight punches there by Kaga. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kaga. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cent takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kaga takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kaga shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Kaga looking to control but Cent is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kaga prevents Cent from getting the reversal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaga is standing up, even though he is in mount. A head kick misses from Kaga. Kaga throws a head kick but Cent moves out of range.
Cent shoots in looking for a takedown. Kaga tries to sprawl out of it but Cent keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kaga manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Cent closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kaga to the mat! Kaga manages to get full guard. Cent wants to control from the top but Kaga keeps moving. Kaga escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cent gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cent trying to control but Kaga is working from the bottom. Kaga is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kaga is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kaga trying to control from half guard but Cent is working away. Kaga has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kaga with shots to the head and body - Cent looks very uncomfortable down there. Kaga goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Cent is on top in guard.
Cent won't allow Kaga to sweep him here. Kaga uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kaga throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cent gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Kaga to counter with a crisp jab. Shigetoshi Kaga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jaaron Cent. Kaga decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Cent moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Kaga will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Cent seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Cent working for a triangle but Kaga defends it easily.
Cent looking for a guillotine here but Kaga defends easily.
Cent working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kaga doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kaga manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Shigetoshi Kaga will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Shigetoshi Kaga's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Kaga throws a sloppy head kick and Cent moves out of range easily. Kaga throws a head kick that misses. Cent scores with a takedown into Kaga's guard. Kaga tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cent wants to control from the top but Kaga keeps moving. Kaga is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cent trying to control the position from guard on top but Kaga is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cent has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kaga is proving hard to escape from. Kaga looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Cent sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kaga's guard. Kaga makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kaga. Kaga looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cent has picked Kaga up and slammed him! Kaga can't keep hold of the triangle and Cent manages to pass to side control! Kaga is trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kaga regains half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are battling for position here. Kaga manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Cent gets to his feet - Kaga follows without any prompting. Cent rushes Kaga and presses him up against the cage. Cent manages to break the clinch.
Cent scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Cent wants to work for an arm triangle but Kaga is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kaga tries to get to full guard but Cent has control of the leg. Cent seems to be working for a kimura but Kaga defends the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cent works his way into full mount! Cent trying to control but he's not successful this time. Kaga sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Cent works his way into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kaga is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Kaga actively working from the bottom here. Kaga looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Cent postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kaga to stand up. Kaga with a poor takedown and Cent counters with a single leg into guard. Kaga didn't expect that. Cent controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kaga has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cent can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that's the end of the fight! Jaaron Cent comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Cent has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
