The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cyrus uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Roscrow.
Roscrow throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cyrus.

Cyrus moves forwards but Roscrow connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Perry Roscrow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Roscrow tries to land a leg kick but Cyrus saw it coming and moves away.

Cyrus drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Roscrow manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cyrus has Roscrow in his guard.

Roscrow wants to control from the top but Cyrus keeps moving.

Roscrow has gone for a leg lock! Cyrus slips out almost immediately though and dives into Roscrow's guard.

Cyrus drops back, looking for a kneebar! Roscrow looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Roscrow looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Roscrow!

Roscrow creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cyrus sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Roscrow throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Cyrus works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Roscrow has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Cyrus defend it? Roscrow steps over the head and cranks it - Cyrus is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Roscrow!

A very excited looking Perry Roscrow rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
