Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and God Zilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). God Zilla struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrei Emelianenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, God Zilla! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You get the feeling that Zilla really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Emelianenko is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Zilla has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Emelianenko goes for an armbar but Zilla turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Zilla. Emelianenko can't keep his opponent in guard - Zilla advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Emelianenko manages to get to full guard.
Emelianenko is looking for a triangle but Zilla pushes his legs off easily.
Emelianenko trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Zilla must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Zilla wants to stand but Emelianenko is controlling his posture from full guard. Zilla content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Emelianenko is breathing heavily. Zilla is looking to get to half guard. Emelianenko working for a guillotine from mount but Zilla is in no mood to give up. Emelianenko has control of Zilla's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Zilla regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zilla manages to regain half guard. Good work. Zilla pushes Emelianenko off looking to stand but Emelianenko dives back in and keeps control.

Big trouble for Zilla! Emelianenko is working for a guillotine from mount but Zilla frees his head quite easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Zilla has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Emelianenko wants to sweep here but Zilla controlling him for the moment. Zilla won't allow Emelianenko to get back to his feet. Zilla keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Emelianenko's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zilla decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Zilla throws a head kick but Emelianenko moves out of range.

It looks like Andrei Emelianenko has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Zilla misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zilla as he jumps to the side. Zilla misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Emelianenko keeps the fight on the outside. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Emelianenko avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Emelianenko fails with the takedown. Zilla forces Emelianenko back against the cage and clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zilla takes a body punch but keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zilla misses with a head kick.
Zilla keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrei Emelianenko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown by Emelianenko or perhaps it was just good defense by Zilla which made him look bad.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Zilla moves into the clinch successfully.
Zilla escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zilla throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Emelianenko tries to clinch up. Emelianenko misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. God Zilla is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Zilla throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. Zilla moves out of range of the body kick. Zilla forces Emelianenko back against the cage and clinches. Zilla tries a knee to the head but Emelianenko blocks it.

Emelianenko is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Zilla gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Zilla using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Emelianenko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zilla looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Zilla takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Zilla is rocked! Emelianenko is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Zilla knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Emelianenko tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zilla sneaks out the side door and pushes Emelianenko away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Emelianenko scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Emelianenko connects with a nice short shot to Zilla's temple. Zilla trying to control from the bottom.
Emelianenko prevents Zilla from improving his position. Zilla is in trouble now - Emelianenko has advanced to mount! Emelianenko working for a guillotine from mount but Zilla is in no mood to give up. Zilla is desperately trying to improve his position but Emelianenko has a good base and remains in mount. Emelianenko unloading with bombs!

Emelianenko jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Zilla manages to avoid the submission attempt. Zilla tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Emelianenko wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Emelianenko advances to full mount. Emelianenko pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Zilla really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Emelianenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Zilla's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Zilla taking shots to the head. Zilla is still in real trouble! Can Emelianenko finish him? The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Emelianenko connects with a bit shot that sees Zilla covering up! More strikes from Zilla and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Emelianenko is our winner by TKO!
