The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Champion is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Nice takedown defense from Torosian. No joy for Champion on that attempt. Torosian's corner calls for a 1-2. Torosian obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Champion is rocked! Sloppy strikes from Torosian. Those never looked like landing. Oh Champion is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Torosian fails to land with a series of punches.
Champion is trying hard to land a takedown here. Torosian sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Champion dodges the punch combination from Torosian.
Torosian ducks down and throws a hook to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Champion fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Champion seems to have got his legs back now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommi Champion. That's going to take a lot out of him. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Champion. Torosian moves into range and clinches up with Champion. Champion drops down looking for an ankle pick but Torosian pulls his leg out and moves away.
Champion shoots in for a takedown but Torosian shows good takedown defense. Champion is breathing heavily. Torosian throws a series of punches but Champion moves out of range. Champion shoots in looking for a takedown but Torosian manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Champion's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Torosian throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Champion.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torosian closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Torosian looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Torosian lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Champion. Champion drops down looking for an ankle pick but Torosian pulls his leg out and moves away.
Danga de danga de dang - Torosian scores with a four punch combination! Torosian cracks Champion on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Champion falls backwards against the cage. Torosian follows up with more strikes that drop Champion to his knees. Torosian keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Champion! This one is all over!
