The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz tries to clinch but Bullock is having none of it.
Bullock throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Bullock counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cruz's guard now.

Cruz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bullock thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Bullock drops back looking for a leg! Cruz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cruz manages to kick Bullock off! Bullock jumps back into Cruz's guard.
Bullock is pushing down on Cruz's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cruz is fighting to maintain full guard but Bullock has managed to sneak the leg through.
Bullock seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cruz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bullock seems to be looking for submissions.
Cruz is breathing heavily.
