Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Black Coleman ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Ushenin! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ushenin lunges at Coleman with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Coleman 's hand.
It looks like Black Coleman has been cut. Ushenin tries to close the distance and clinch but Coleman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Coleman takes the fight into the clinch. A short right from Ushenin on the inside. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Ushenin tries to land knees in the clinch but Coleman avoids the damage to the body. Ushenin swings wildly with an uppercut but Coleman uses good head movement to avoid it. Ushenin swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Coleman jumps guard but Ushenin stands there with Coleman around his waist. Coleman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Coleman drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Coleman blocks an uppercut.
Ushenin misses with a short punch on the inside. Coleman has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ushenin after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Black Coleman . That's going to take a lot out of him. Ushenin pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Coleman is looking to take this one to the mat. A bit of stalling here from Ushenin.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ushenin lands a right hand. Ushenin is pushing Coleman up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. A short right hand to the side of the head by Ushenin. Ushenin can't find room to land a body shot as Coleman controls the action.
Coleman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ushenin gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Ushenin is pushing Coleman up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Coleman wants to take the fight to the mat but Ushenin manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ushenin lands a nice uppercut. Ushenin throws a punch but it's blocked by Coleman . Nice body punch from Ushenin. Coleman is breathing heavily. Ushenin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Coleman backwards. Ushenin misses with a hook from the clinch. Ushenin misses with the head strike.
Coleman gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Coleman prevents Ushenin from standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ushenin blocking the ground and pound attempt from Coleman . Coleman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Coleman is keen to just control but Ushenin is a slippery customer. Coleman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ushenin wants to control but Coleman is keeping busy and won't allow it. Coleman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ushenin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Coleman not doing much here.
Coleman is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Ushenin is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
