Kharitonov has chosen BLUNT - Raggae All Day as his entrance music. Vladimir Kharitonov acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Kharitonov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kharitonov swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kharitonov ducks under a wild hook from Alves.
Kharitonov fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Alves.
Alves throws a hook to the side of Kharitonov's head but Kharitonov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kharitonov throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Nice straight punches there by Kharitonov. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kharitonov.

It looks like Hector Alves has been cut.

and Alves decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kharitonov's guard.

Alves working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kharitonov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kharitonov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Alves throws a nice looking combination but Kharitonov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

A close round but Vladimir Kharitonov will probably get the nod.

Kharitonov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Alves has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Some bone on bone action there as Alves checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kharitonov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Alves looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Alves uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kharitonov.

Vladimir Kharitonov seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Some bone on bone action there as Kharitonov checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Alves shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kharitonov sprawls well. Kharitonov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alves gets slowly back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oooooh!!! Kharitonov has knocked Alves down with a huge combo! Kharitonov steps away and waves a wobbly Alves back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Good leg kick by Kharitonov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Oh Alves is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kharitonov throws an overhand right that drops Alves like a sack of potatoes! Kharitonov dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
