Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zane Peltier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Shurk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peltier comes to the cage accompanied by Rockstar-Chamillionaire. Shurk has chosen Achy Breaky Heart as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Zane Peltier could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Shawn Shurk's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Shurk!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shurk connects with a looping right hand.
Peltier keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Shurk.
Peltier throws a sloppy head kick
and Shurk counters with a three punch combo that has Peltier backing up. Peltier nods at Shurk to acknowledge the strikes.
Peltier misses with a takedown attempt
so Shurk counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Peltier controls Shurk momentarily but Shurk frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Peltier tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Peltier can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Shurk controls the pace.

Peltier has a closed guard, preventing Shurk from standing up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Shurk avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shurk wants to stand but Peltier has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Peltier wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Shurk is sitting in close to Peltier's body. Peltier has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Shurk is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Shurk is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Peltier.

After the fight, Zane Peltier was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
