Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Jacobs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson getting the better of the striking in that exchange.


It looks like Jon Jacobs has been cut.
Jacobs blocks a head kick by Jackson.
Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jacobs moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jackson misses with a wild combination.
Jacobs looks to score with a jab to the body but Jackson is just out of range.
Jacobs tests Jackson's chin there with a solid looking shot.


It looks like Jeff Jackson has been cut.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Jackson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jacobs scores with a hook to the body. Jackson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Jacobs takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A head kick from Jackson lands but Jacobs takes it in his stride.
The crowd cheers as Jackson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jacobs doesn't seem phased though.

Jackson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Jacobs misses the jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Jacobs avoids them all with ease.
Jackson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jackson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jacobs finds it's way round the side to connect with Jackson's head.
Jackson connects with a leg kick. Jacobs looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Jackson lands a head kick. Jacobs smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Jacobs lands a slapping body shot.
Jacobs throws a hook to the side of Jackson's head but Jackson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jackson throws a series of punches but Jacobs moves out of range.
Jackson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jacobs.
Jackson delivers a nice body kick.
No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jacobs looks to land a combination but Jackson avoids it well.
Jacobs lands the left hand.
Jackson goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Jacobs lands a nice looking body shot.
Jacobs lands a glancing blow to the side of Jackson's head.


That has opened up Jeff Jackson's cut even more.
Jacobs cracks Jackson with a hook to the temple - Jackson is on wobbly legs here! Jacobs swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Jackson falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Jacobs wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jon Jacobs!
A very excited looking Jon Jacobs made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
