The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colathen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Man.
Colathen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Colathen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Colathen counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Man's guard now.
Colathen pushes down on Man's leg and manages to get into half guard.

and Colathen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Colathen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
