Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Banny Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boozan Rios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Banny Hill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Boozan Rios!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rios tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hill swivels and escapes.
Rios shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rios fails with the takedown

and Hill counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Banny Hill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boozan Rios.
Rios wants to sweep but no luck.
Rios trying to keep a closed guard but Hill is proving a slippery customer.
Hill pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rios is keeping the position for now.
Hill has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Rios has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Hill wants to stand but Rios has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Boozan Rios was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Hill pushes Rios up against the cage in a clinch.
Hill missing with knees to the body.

Hill escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hill misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hill doesn't manage to clinch there - Rios circles away.

Rios has closed the distance and engaged Hill in a clinch.

Hill breaks from the clinch.
Rios shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hill sprawls well. Hill wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rios gets slowly back to his feet.
Banny Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rios fails to land the takedown.

Hill rushes Rios and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rios prevents a takedown attempt there.
Rios is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Rios ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rios no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Hill loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Rios working for a triangle but Hill defends it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rios utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rios wants to stand and escape but Hill is having none of it.
Rios has a closed guard, preventing Hill from standing up.
Hill trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rios is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hill looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hill misses with a head kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rios with a lazy takedown attempt
and Hill counters with a one-two to the body.

Hill changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rios looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hill working the ground and pound but Rios is defending the strikes.
Hill content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Hill tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hill working the strikes but Rios uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Banny Hill dominated that round.
That's time! Hill's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Hill shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Hill throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Hill missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Hill wants to take a breather but Rios is having none of it.
Hill working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Rios's thigh. Rios counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Hill scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rios tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hill with a nice head shot there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rios is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rios is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Hill really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hill throws a strike but Rios rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Hill wants to get back to his feet but Rios is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Hill keeping moving, preventing Rios from controlling successfully.
Hill knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rios on the ground.

Boozan Rios has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Hill gets caught napping as Rios dives in and scores a takedown. Hill manages to retain guard.
Hill wants to get back to his feet but Rios passes into half guard.
Rios wants to take a breather but Hill is having none of it.
Hill is looking to get back to is feet but Rios passes into side control.
Banny Hill overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rios tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rios has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hill is trying to work for a sweep but Rios has mounted him!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rios is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hill to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hill shrugs it off.
Hill is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Hill really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Rios throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Hill is not a happy chappy� he wants out of there.
Hill has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

Rios has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Hill is defending well but eventually Rios manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Hill has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Boozan Rios!
