Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, DeAndre Louis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brain Ramirez!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Louis feints and as Ramirez raises his hands in defense, Louis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Ramirez is trying to control the position but Louis postures up.
Louis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Louis wants to pass the guard but Ramirez is keeping the position.
Louis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Ramirez keeping moving, preventing Louis from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up because DeAndre Louis just wasn't active enough.
Ramirez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Louis.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ramirez enables Louis to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ramirez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Louis has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ramirez regains guard immediately.
Louis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Louis is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up. DeAndre Louis wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Louis connects with a leg kick. Ramirez looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Ramirez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Ramirez tries to sprawl but Louis drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Ramirez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Louis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Louis decides to return to a standing position.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Ramirez has eaten all the pies!
Louis shoots for a takedown but Ramirez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

DeAndre Louis dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


The fight stays on the outside here - Louis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Louis throws a body punch but Ramirez moves out of range.

Ramirez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ramirez postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Louis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Ramirez looking to sit in guard and control but Louis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Louis gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Ramirez shoots in but Louis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
DeAndre Louis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ramirez is breathing heavily.

Louis darts in and clinches Ramirez up against the cage.

Louis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Louis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Ramirez parries the strikes from Louis easily there. Louis is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Ramirez to escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Louis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ramirez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Louis as he jumps to the side.
Ramirez slaps away a takedown attempt from Louis, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Louis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ramirez swivels and escapes.
Ramirez takes a head kick and keeps coming.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Ramirez gets caught flat footed, as Louis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Louis throws a big elbow that misses.
Ramirez wants to control the position but Louis says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ramirez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Louis shoots in looking for a takedown. Ramirez tries to sprawl out of it but Louis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ramirez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Louis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ramirez tries to avoid it but Louis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ramirez to the ground. Ramirez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Louis throws a head kick that Ramirez semi-blocks.

Ramirez has Louis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Louis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Ramirez wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Louis drags the fight down to the ground.

Louis pushes Ramirez off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ramirez dodges the punch combination from Louis.
A head kick from Louis lands but Ramirez takes it in his stride.
Louis has a takedown stuffed.
Louis shoots for a double leg takedown but Ramirez sprawls well. He's pushed Louis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ramirez shoots in for a takedown but Louis shows good takedown defense.
Louis scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
No luck for Louis with that takedown attempt.
Louis leaves Ramirez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Louis keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Louis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Ramirez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Louis lands a high kick!
Louis's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Louis duly obliges.
Louis fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ramirez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Louis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Brain Ramirez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ramirez is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Well Louis has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
