Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tim Jacobs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Darrius Styles!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jacobs shoots in and gets a takedown into Styles's guard.
Styles looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Jacobs wants to control from the top but Styles keeps moving.
Jacobs is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Jacobs not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Styles is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Styles feints and as Jacobs raises his hands in defense, Styles changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jacobs feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
