Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Koichi Kamei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kotaro Fuma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kotaro Fuma has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Koichi Kamei! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 26 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Kotaro Fuma! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kamei works the jab nicely. Fuma pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Kamei drives through with a takedown into guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Fuma wants to stand up but Kamei is controlling him. Fuma can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kamei controls the pace. Fuma working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kamei. Fuma really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kamei. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fuma trying to keep a closed guard but Kamei is proving a slippery customer.
Kamei slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Koichi Kamei. The fighters circle momentarily. Kamei darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Kamei connects with an inside leg kick. Kamei throws a series of strikes that have Fuma backpedaling.
Fuma walks into a stiff left hand from Kamei. Kamei moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Kamei thuds his right hand into Fuma's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Kamei with a body punch. A glancing blow. Kamei slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Kamei connects with a good right hand that stumbles Fuma. Fuma circles away out of range and recomposes himself. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fuma wants to clinch up but Kamei keeps it at a distance. Fuma gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kamei counters with a lovely straight right hand! Fuma looks winded!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fuma ducks right into an uppercut from Kamei. Kamei cracks Fuma with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Kamei fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fuma sprawls well initially but Kamei persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Fuma wants to stand back up but Kamei manages to pass into side control.
Kamei working the ground and pound. Kamei lands a few punches from side control. Kamei will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kamei working the ground and pound.
Fuma is rocked! Kamei scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Fuma is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Kamei can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Koichi Kamei! A very excited looking Koichi Kamei made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
