Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Gatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Til' I Collapse as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Arturo Gatti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Silva! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gatti tries to clinch there but Silva circles away.
Silva looking to score a takedown here. Gatti is defending well but Silva drives through and ends up in Gatti's guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Silva looking to pass the guard. Gatti is wriggling around but Silva manages to pass to half guard.
Gatti knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground. Silva is keen to just control but Gatti is a slippery customer. Silva stops Gatti from getting back to his feet.
Gatti might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gatti does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gatti wants to get back to his feet. Silva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gatti's head.
Ricardo Silva has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Gatti swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva. Gatti swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Gatti closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Gatti pushes Silva against the cage but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gatti but Gatti pushes him off and we're back to square one. Silva looks winded! Gatti fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gatti tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Silva swivels and escapes. Silva misses the shot to the body. Gatti tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away. Arturo Gatti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gatti misses with a straight left. Gatti shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side. Gatti throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gatti thows a body shot but no joy. Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva throws a body punch but Gatti moves out of range. Gatti misses with a takedown letting Silva counter with a right hand. Gatti moves into the clinch successfully.

Gatti breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Silva lands the left hand. Gatti shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Gatti keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Gatti is looking to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gatti rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage. Gatti gets through Silva's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Gatti breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gatti with a poor takedown and Silva counters with a takedown into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Silva working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gatti, who protects the arm well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gatti fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gatti fails with the takedown and Silva counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gatti won't be happy with that. Silva working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Silva is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gatti knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Gatti parries the strikes from Silva easily there. Silva is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Gatti to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gatti is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Silva looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Gatti is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Silva is controlling him well. Gatti on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gatti tries to get out of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Gatti is trying to get back to his feet. Silva working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Gatti is trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricardo Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Gatti shoots in looking for a takedown but Silva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gatti's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Silva avoids the head kick by Gatti.
Gatti will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Silva fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gatti avoids it really well and circles away. Gatti circles away from the clinch attempt and Gatti holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Gatti throws an elbow that misses.
Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Gatti dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Gatti pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva digs a good hook to Gatti's body.
Gatti scores with a sloppy right hand. Silva should have avoided that one. Gatti is trying hard to land a takedown here. Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A left and a right from Gatti both land. Nice combination. Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arturo Gatti. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gatti fails in his attempt to clinch. Nice sprawl there from Silva as Gatti shoots in. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gatti displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Silva throws out the jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gatti to score with a decent uppercut. Gatti swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Good shot there by Gatti. Gatti lands a head shot. Gatti fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Gatti persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Silva controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Silva looking for submissions off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Silva looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Silva wants to control but Gatti is keeping busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva is trying to get back to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Arturo Gatti showed his dominance in that final round. I think Silva has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
