Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Kimble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henley Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimble comes to the cage accompanied by Ecstasy Of Gold. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, John Kimble! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Henley Harris! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kimble is looking to slow Harris down with leg kicks. Kimble scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Harris avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Harris gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kimble counters with a low kick, right behind Harris 's knee. Kimble throws a nice outside leg kick. Harris uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kimble. John Kimble seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jab from Kimble. Harris tries for a takedown but Kimble sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kimble fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Harris is out of range. Horrible takedown by Harris or perhaps it was just good defense by Kimble which made him look bad. John Kimble has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henley Harris. Harris stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kimble. Harris ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kimble throws a nice inside leg kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Harris avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kimble connects with a jab. Kimble lands a jab to the nose. Kimble lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kimble lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Harris at a distance.
Harris fails with the takedown and Kimble counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Harris is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kimble is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Harris. Kimble scores with a jab. Harris acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Harris uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kimble. Harris shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kimble defends it nicely. Kimble feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Harriss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Kimble misses with a jab to the body
and Harris counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Harris tries to free his leg and advance position but Kimble is retaining full guard. Kimble has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of John Kimble. Kimble tries to score with a low kick but Harris moves his leg out of the way. Harris fails to land the takedown. A nice inside leg kick there by Kimble. That's going to slow Harris down. Harris on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kimble. Kimble obviously looking to wear him down.
Harris shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kimble counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harris has his takedown stuffed and Kimble counters with a straight right hand. Harris keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kimble. Harris fails with a takedown attempt. Harris is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Kimble lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kimble connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Harris takes one to the chin there. Kimble connects with a solid leg kick. Kimble looks to land a left hand but Harris moved out of range nicely. Harris gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Kimble breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Harris's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harris fails with the takedown and Kimble counters with a good low kick that Harris was not able to check. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Harris closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kimble circles away. Kimble scores with a leg kick.
Harris is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kimble sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kimble is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Harris looks winded! Harris shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kimble defends it nicely. Harris fails with the takedown. Harris fails miserably with a takedown attempt. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Harris shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kimble counters with a thumping low kick. Harris takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Kimble dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Harris takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Harris needs to keep his hands up - Kimble had a free shot at his head there. Kimble pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kimble misses with a straight left. Kimble dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Harris. That did some damage! Harris doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kimble counters with a leg kick. Harris needs to keep his hands up - Kimble had a free shot at his head there. Harris fails with the takedown and Kimble counters with a nice uppercut. Kimble scores with a jab. Harris acknowledges it with a nod of the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Harris shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Harris is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. That kick from Kimble tenderised Harris's leg. Harris is trying to keep his angry face on. Kimble lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. John Kimble is winning the standup battle so far. Kimble lands a nice leg kick that just misses Harris's sensitive parts. A good leg kick by Kimble. Kimble scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Harris doesn't seem bothered though. Kimble scores with a crisp jab that stopped Harris in his tracks. Kimble thuds his right hand into Harris's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Kimble throws a quick inside leg kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kimble sizes up Harris with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Kimble jabs at Harris's body. Kimble chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Harris gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kimble. Kimble lands a jab to Harris's midsection.
That's two minutes gone in the round. That kick from Kimble tenderised Harris's leg. Harris is trying to keep his angry face on. A slapping leg kick lands for Kimble.
Harris has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Kimble scores with a nice head shot. Kimble is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Harris can do to turn this around? Harris on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Kimble buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Harris takes a jab right on the kisser.
Decent striking displayed by Kimble there. Kimble's jab looks to have found its range, popping Harris under the eye.
Harris is rocked! Harris tries for a takedown but Kimble circles away easily and Kimble counters with an outside leg kick.
Kimble dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Harris takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Harris on the wrong end of a nice jab. Harris is still on wobbly legs! Can Kimble finish him?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kimble throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Harris stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kimble digs a good body shot into Harris's ribs. Kimble ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kimble, as that shot connected.
Kimble scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Kimble lands with an uppercut that bounces Harris off the cage and back into range. Kimble lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Harris doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Kimble lands with a hook. Harris tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. A solid leg kick lands there for Kimble.
Harris walks straight into a right hand from Kimble - that's dropped him! Kimble jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Harris from any more punishment! Harris complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). John Kimble! A determined John Kimble didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
