Corrida comes to the cage accompanied by Shadowhunter. Drennan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Illy-oi!. Juan Corrida could well score a knockout today. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Corrida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 6 - 2, fighting out of New York, Gary Drennan!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drennan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A slow jab from Drennan misses its intended target.
Drennan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Corrida lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Drennan is looking to land body kicks.
Corrida slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Drennan gets caught flat footed, as Corrida shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Corrida trying to control but Drennan is working from the bottom.
Drennan can't keep his opponent in guard - Corrida advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Drennan gets full guard.
Drennan trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Corrida throws a big right hand that misses.
Corrida trying to control the position from guard on top but Drennan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Corrida with a nice head shot there.
Drennan keeping moving, preventing Corrida from controlling successfully.
Corrida throwing strikes from guard but Drennan blocks nicely.
Drennan is controlling Corrida's posture.
Corrida throws a strike but Drennan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Corrida is looking to sinch up a triangle. Drennan throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Corrida's body to avoid the submission. Corrida has instead reached around Drennan's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Corrida arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Juan Corrida!
In his post fight interview, Juan Corrida gave a big smile as he said 'Enjoy your stitches, you dink.'.
