Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leon Kenody! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dennis Reynolds! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reynolds tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kenody swats him away and circles back towards the center. Reynolds misses with a jab, cross combination.
Reynolds fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Reynolds tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice sprawl there from Reynolds as Kenody shoots in. Kenody throws a body punch but Reynolds moves out of range. Dennis Reynolds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horrible takedown by Reynolds or perhaps it was just good defense by Kenody which made him look bad. Reynolds tries for a takedown but Kenody sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Leon Kenody has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dennis Reynolds. Reynolds keeps the fight on the outside. Reynolds misses with a few strikes there.
Kenody shoots in for a takedown but Reynolds shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kenody is defended easily by Reynolds. Kenody stuffs the takedown attempt from Reynolds. Reynolds gets slowly back to his feet. Reynolds moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reynolds is trying to break the clinch but Kenody has him pressed against the cage. Kenody escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reynolds swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kenody looking for a takedown here - he's got it. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Kenody is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Kenody seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Reynolds for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Leon Kenody. Kenody tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Reynolds paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kenody misses with a low kick. Horrible takedown by Reynolds or perhaps it was just good defense by Kenody which made him look bad. Reynolds throws a nice looking combination but Kenody bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kenody throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Reynolds tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Reynolds stuffs the takedown attempt from Kenody. Kenody gets slowly back to his feet. Reynolds is looking to clinch. Kenody tries to clinch there but Reynolds circles away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kenody misses with a combination
and Reynolds counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reynolds shoots for a takedown but Kenody saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Reynolds tries to clinch and Kenody counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Reynolds's guard now. Reynolds looks winded! Kenody pushes down on Reynolds's leg and manages to get into half guard. Reynolds scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Kenody manages to mount him!
Kenody working away from the top, dropping strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kenody postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Reynolds looks a forlorn figure.

Leon Kenody dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Reynolds shoots in for a takedown but Kenody shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Reynolds shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kenody as he jumps to the side. Reynolds doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kenody counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Leon Kenody has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dennis Reynolds. Kenody content to control rather than advance. Kenody wants to take a breather but Reynolds is having none of it. Kenody lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kenody postures up in Reynolds's guard and throws a big left but Reynolds blocks it. Kenody pushes down on Reynolds's leg and manages to get into half guard. Kenody is figuring out what he wants to do next. Reynolds avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kenody. Kenody is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Reynolds doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kenody. Reynolds pushes Kenody off and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kenody moves in looking to clinch but Reynolds pushes him off. Kenody clinches with his opponent.
Reynolds lands an uppercut. Reynolds can't break the clinch.
Reynolds breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Reynolds looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kenody fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kenody shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Reynolds defends it nicely. Reynolds throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kenody. Reynolds blocks the body kick.
Reynolds has closed the distance and engaged Kenody in a clinch.

Reynolds jabs at Kenody's body. Kenody moves in looking to clinch but Reynolds pushes him off. Reynolds dodges the punch combination from Kenody.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Reynolds fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kenody leaves Reynolds with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kenody tries to land a front kick but Reynolds steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leon Kenody dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Reynolds closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kenody circles away. Reynolds connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Reynolds is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kenody clinches up against the cage. Kenody prevents Reynolds from breaking the clinch. Kenody goes for a takedown in the clinch but Reynolds prevents it.

Kenody pushes Reynolds off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Kenody dives in and grabs Reynolds's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reynolds pushes down on Kenody's head and hops out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reynolds looks to land a body kick but Kenody moved away. Reynolds moves to clinch but Kenody breaks away and Kenody counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Reynolds! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kenody unloading with bombs! Kenody thowing shots but they're missing. Reynolds is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Kenody controlling the pace for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. BOOM! Kenody connects with a massive shot to the dome!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kenody looking to control and managing it successfully. Kenody punishing his opponent with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kenody tries to control but Reynolds wriggling away. Reynolds in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kenody cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Reynolds is bucking up trying to escape but Kenody cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Kenody can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Reynolds is looking to escape. Reynolds's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kenody is in the full mount, landing strikes. Kenody controlling from the full mount. Kenody is working for a guillotine from mount but Reynolds frees his head quite easily.
Dennis Reynolds has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Leon Kenody is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kenody sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
And that's the end of the fight! Leon Kenody showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kenody, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
