The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Macello, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Macello throws a right and a left that both miss.
Macello changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Martinez misses with an uppercut. Macello saw that one coming.
Macello tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Martinez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Macello looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Martinez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Martinez feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Macellos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Martinez feints with a jab and clips Macello right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Macello is sent crashing into the canvas and Martinez leaps in for the kill! Macello tries to get to his feet but Martinez is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Macello is in need of a savior and steps in!

A less than humble Marcos Martinez misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
