Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alain Ducase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tonny Riftken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ducase has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Tonny Riftken is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alain Ducase! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tonny Riftken! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ducase shoots in looking for a takedown. Riftken tries to sprawl out of it but Ducase keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Riftken manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ducase is breathing heavily. Some wild striking there from Riftken.
Ducase is trying hard to land a takedown here. Riftken sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Riftken scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Riftken stalks Ducase and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ducase's face. Ducase staggers backwards, shaken. Riftken rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ducase moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Riftken tried to score with a low kick but Ducase checks it. Ducase shoots in for a takedown but Riftken shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alain Ducase. That's going to take a lot out of him. Riftken works over Ducase's head and body with a nice combination. Riftken lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ducase circles away quickly and effectively. Riftken throws a head kick but Ducase moves out of range.

Ducase really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Riftken throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ducase. Riftken throws a nice looking combination but Ducase bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Riftken misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Riftken throws a one two combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riftken tries to keep at a distance but Ducase has taken the fight into the clinch. Riftken wants to break the clinch but can't.
Riftken comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Ducase is trying to pull guard but Riftken has him pressed against the cage. Riftken connects with a knee to the head.
Riftken scores with a hook to the body. Riftken tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ducase's elbow. Riftken breaks from the clinch.

Riftken throws a body kick that misses. Alain Ducase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Riftken tries a head kick but it misses.
Ducase shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Riftken as he jumps to the side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Riftken throws a nice looking combination but Ducase bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Riftken scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Ducase throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Riftken tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ducase is in Riftken's guard. Ducase's corner is telling him to maintain position. This has been an exciting period of action! Ducase content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Ducase postures up in Riftken's guard and throws a big left but Riftken blocks it. Ducase thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ducase throws a big right hand that misses. Ducase trying to control but Riftken is working from the bottom. Ducase stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Riftken swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riftken wants to sweep here but Ducase controlling him for the moment. Ducase pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Riftken is keeping the position for now. Ducase will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ducase is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ducase postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Riftken is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ducase wants to control from the top but Riftken keeps moving. Ducase sitting in guard here, content to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Alain Ducase wasn't doing enough on the ground. Riftken pulls out of a head kick attempt.

A head kick misses from Riftken. Riftken throws a series of punches but Ducase avoids them all with ease. Tonny Riftken is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ducase misses with a takedown attempt - Riftken sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ducase shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Riftken as he avoids it easily. Ducase shoots in for a double leg but Riftken sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Riftken chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Riftken cracks the inside of Ducase's front leg. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Riftken, right into the meat.

Ducase tries to clinch there but Riftken circles away.
Riftken throws a right and a left that both miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tonny Riftken dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Riftken feints a jab promting Ducase to slip. Riftken then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ducase slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. A head kick misses from Riftken. Ducase is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Riftken's half guard. Ducase stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Riftken to get to his feet. Alain Ducase is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Riftken throws a head kick but Ducase moves out of range.

Riftken moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Riftken throws a series of punches but Ducase moves out of range. Ducase avoids a punch combination nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Riftken swinging wildly here.

Ducase changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Riftken looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Ducase working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Ducase creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Riftken sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Ducase taking a breather here. Riftken tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ducase wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ducase is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Riftken will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Ducase is looking to take a break and control but Riftken is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Riftken can't do much from the bottom here. Ducase moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Riftken tries to buck Ducase off but Ducase is having none of it.

Riftken wants to slow Ducase down by chopping away at his legs. Ducase shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Riftken as he avoids it easily. A punch combination from Riftken misses. Excellent takedown into side control there by Ducase. Ducase has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ducase in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Riftken is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
