Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Ribero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Rothsilva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rothsilva is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bee Bop- Hopsin. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andre Ribero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brock Rothsilva! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rothsilva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rothsilva slaps away a takedown attempt from Ribero, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rothsilva throws a series of punches but Ribero moves out of range. Rothsilva stuffs the takedown attempt from Ribero. Ribero gets slowly back to his feet. Rothsilva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ribero. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Ribero. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rothsilva tries to bum rush Ribero with a series of wild strikes but Ribero uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ribero has his takedown stuffed and Rothsilva counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Rothsilva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ribero circles away quickly and effectively. Ribero slips a jab and a cross from Rothsilva.
Rothsilva throws a right and a left that both miss. Ribero fails with the takedown and Rothsilva counters with a series of strikes. Ribero will be more careful next time no doubt.

Rothsilva falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ribero counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Rothsilva looks winded! Ribero drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ribero jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Ribero tries to free his leg and advance position but Rothsilva is retaining full guard. Ribero sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rothsilva's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rothsilva manages to escape and get back to his feet! Rothsilva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ribero circles away quickly and effectively. Rothsilva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ribero to score an easy takedown into full guard. Ribero is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ribero pushing down on Rothsilva's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Ribero is working for a kimura but Rothsilva is defending it quite comfortably.

Rothsilva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Ribero is trying to work for a kimura but Rothsilva is defending well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ribero is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Rothsilva can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Ribero content just to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rothsilva is controlling an arm, preventing Ribero from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Possibly, maybe, no Ribero has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ribero tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andre Ribero dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Rothsilva throws a series of punches but Ribero moves out of range. Rothsilva throws a right hand that Ribero ducks under and follows up with a left that Ribero also avoids with ease. Rothsilva looks to land a right hand but Ribero moved out of range. Rothsilva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Brock Rothsilva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rothsilva fails to land with a series of punches.

Rothsilva wants to get back to his feet but Ribero drags him back down. Andre Ribero overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ribero is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rothsilva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Ribero advances nicely into full mount.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rothsilva is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Ribero jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rothsilva manages to avoid the submission attempt. Rothsilva tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Ribero is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rothsilva to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rothsilva shrugs it off. Ribero is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rothsilva has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ribero working for a submission but Rothsilva is keeping him at bay. Rothsilva wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Rothsilva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ribero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rothsilva prevents Ribero from taking his back. Rothsilva has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Ribero working for a choke but Rothsilva is defending well. Ribero tightening his grip on Rothsilva, looking for the choke. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rothsilva is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rothsilva holding both Ribero 's hands and preventing any damage. Rothsilva is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ribero is cranking Rothsilva's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Rothsilva! He's tightened the choke and Rothsilva is tapping out!
