Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raul Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Pendragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raul Hughes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Raul Hughes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Pendragon! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pendragon throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Raul Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pendragon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hughes to the mat! Hughes manages to get full guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Pendragon wants to control from the top but Hughes keeps moving. Hughes looking for a guillotine here but Pendragon defends easily.
Hughes is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pendragon pushes down on Hughes's leg and manages to get into half guard. Hughes is defending against the submission attempts here by Pendragon.
Pendragon seems to be working for a kimura but Hughes defends the submission attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pendragon trying to control from half guard but Hughes is working away. Hughes wants to control but Pendragon is keeping busy and won't allow it. Pendragon is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Hughes is controlling Pendragon's posture. Pendragon throws a big elbow that misses. Hughes is adopting a defensive guard. Pendragon wants to pass the guard but Hughes is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pendragon stands and throws Hughes's legs to the side, diving into side control. Pendragon tries to advance to mount but can't. Pendragon goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hughes has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Pendragon but great work by Hughes. Pendragon is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hughes decides to stand up, so the ref orders Pendragon to his feet. Good work by Pendragon as he checks the leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hughes misses with a left hand so Pendragon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Pendragon wants to pass the guard but Hughes is keeping the position. Hughes pulls Pendragon in close to prevent any damage. Pendragon gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Pendragon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pendragon tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Pendragon working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Pendragon tries to move to mount but Hughes blocks the move with his legs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pendragon working the strikes but Hughes uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Pendragon is working for a kimura but Hughes is defending it quite comfortably.
Hughes tries to roll over but Pendragon keeps him under control. Pendragon is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pendragon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Pendragon dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Pendragon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hughes.
Hughes misses with a hook. Hughes leaves Pendragon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Pendragon shoots in and drives through. Hughes sprawls well. Pendragon gets a takedown into half guard. Hughes gets full guard. Hughes seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Pendragon trying to control the position from guard on top but Hughes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pendragon trying to move into half guard but instead Hughes has managed to sweep!
That's one minute gone in the round. Pendragon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hughes is aware though and is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pendragon looking for a guillotine here but Hughes defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Pendragon trying to get back to full guard but Hughes takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Hughes moves to the back position. Pendragon looking very determined here, making life difficult for Hughes.

Hughes controlling the position well here. Pendragon rolled but Hughes kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. What can Pendragon do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Hughes's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Pendragon manages to reverse the position and now he's in Hughes's guard. Nice work there by Pendragon.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Pendragon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hughes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Raul Hughes wasn't doing enough on the ground. Pendragon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Pendragon is working for a submission of some sort.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hughes wants to control but Pendragon is keeping busy.
Hughes actively working from the bottom here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pendragon has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Pendragon thowing shots but they're missing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Pendragon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Hughes takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Good standup being displayed there by Pendragon as he connects with a hook. Pendragon defending well as Hughes loads up on a big left hand. Hughes throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Pendragon moves out of range of the strikes. Pendragon moves out of range as Hughes strikes. Pendragon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hughes quickly recovers to half guard. Hughes pushes Pendragon off and gets back to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pendragon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hughes avoids it really well and circles away. Pendragon throws a hook but Hughes avoids it easily.

Pendragon throws out a loose jab but Hughes uses good head movement to avoid it. Hughes lands a slapping body shot.

Pendragon looks to score with a jab to the body but Hughes is just out of range. A swing and a miss from Hughes. Raul Hughes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pendragon connects with a crisp jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hughes misses with a low kick as Pendragon jumps back. Hughes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pendragon was well out of range. Poor timing from Hughes. Mike Pendragon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pendragon tries a head kick but it misses.

Hughes uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Hughes lands a lovely overhand right. Pendragon ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Pendragon throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Hughes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pendragon manages to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Hughes. Pendragon throws a good cross that connects.
Hughes attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Pendragon moves out of range of the strikes. Pendragon throws a head kick but Hughes moves out of range.
Hughes ducks under a wild hook from Pendragon. Nice defenses there by Pendragon. Pendragon blocks a jab. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Pendragon. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Hughes misses with a body punch
and Pendragon counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hughes's guard now. Pendragon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hughes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pendragon throws a big right hand that misses. Hughes is pulling down on Pendragon's head to control his posture. Hughes preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Pendragon throws an elbow that misses. Hughes uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pendragon's guard. Nice move by Hughes! Pendragon looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pendragon has his foot on Hughes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hughes works his way back into a safe position though. Raul Hughes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pendragon preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Pendragon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Pendragon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
