The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sauna slips a jab from Zamora.
A clash of legs there as Sauna blocks the low kick.
Good standup being displayed there by Zamora as he connects with a hook.
Sauna misses with a two punch combination.
Sauna rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zamora moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sauna looks to land a combination but Zamora avoids it well.
Sauna sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Sauna bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Zamora clobbers Sauna with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Sauna checks a low kick from Zamora.
Sauna throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Chael Sauna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zamora dodges the punch combination from Sauna.
Sauna lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zamora circles away quickly and effectively.

Sauna slips under a jab.
Zamora leaves Sauna with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sauna misses with a double jab
and Zamora counters with an inside leg kick.

Sauna is breathing heavily.
Sauna fails with a takedown attempt.
Zamora dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Zamora thuds his shin into the meat of Sauna's side.

Zamora lands with an uppercut that bounces Sauna off the cage and back into range.
Zamora throws a quick inside leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Zamora.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Zamora.
Zamora lands a big head kick that sends Sauna to the canvas! Zamora follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

After the fight, Danny Zamora was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
