Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, J J Tucker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mirko Liddell!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tucker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Liddell manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tucker with a nice cross.
A good leg kick by Tucker.
Liddell shoots in but Tucker avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Liddell looks for a takedown but Tucker sprawls well.
Liddell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tucker swivels and escapes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Liddell tries to score a body lock takedown but Tucker shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Liddell goes for a takedown attempt but Tucker pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Mirko Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tucker looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Liddell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Tucker working the clinch nicely. Liddell is working for position but Tucker cracks him with a big knee to the head! Liddell crumples up against the cage and Tucker lands two more shots before the ref can save Liddell! This one is all over!
