Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Francesco Luongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Lirette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luongo comes to the cage accompanied by Don't You Worry Child. Lirette has chosen Hear Me Now as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lirette looks to throw the jab but Luongo is out of range.
Horrible takedown by Lirette or perhaps it was just good defense by Luongo which made him look bad.
Luongo throws a good cross that connects.
Luongo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Lirette in his tracks.
Luongo cracks Lirette with an open hand slap.
Luongo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lirette momentarily.
Travis Lirette seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lirette tries to clinch there but Luongo circles away.
Luongo takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Lirette fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lirette takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Luongo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lirette doesn't seem bothered though.
Luongo swats away the attempt to clinch by Lirette.
Lirette fails with the takedown
and Luongo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Luongo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lirette's hands.
Luongo scores with a shot to the body.
Lirette shoots in for a takedown but Luongo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Francesco Luongo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Travis Lirette.

Luongo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Lirette takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Lirette shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Luongo counters with a left to the body.
A decent looking cross lands there for Luongo.
Luongo lands a nice shot that snaps Lirette's head back.
Luongo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lirette's hands.
Lirette takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Lirette swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lirette needs to keep his hands up - Luongo had a free shot at his head there.
Luongo lands a nice looking body shot.
Lirette walks into a stiff left hand from Luongo.
Lirette walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lirette takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Lirette is rocked!
Luongo lands a really nice looking cross but Lirette seems unphased.
Lirette is still on wobbly legs! Can Luongo finish him?
Luongo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Lirette looks to clinch
and Luongo counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Luongo cracks Lirette with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Lirette tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Luongo pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Lirette is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Francesco Luongo!
Francesco Luongo took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
