Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Jazwinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grigori Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Rasputin's choice of entrance music: Symphony of Destruction. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Piotr Jazwinski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Grigori Rasputin! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jazwinski throws a low kick but it's checked well by Rasputin. Jazwinski misses with a looping left. Jazwinski moves out of range as Rasputin throws a body kick.
Grigori Rasputin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Excellent takedown into side control there by Jazwinski. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Rasputin pushes Jazwinski away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jazwinski gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Jazwinski is trying to get an arm triangle but Rasputin is defending well. Jazwinski tries to score with some ground and pound. Rasputin controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Rasputin parries the strikes from Jazwinski easily there. Jazwinski is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Rasputin to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rasputin takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Rasputin is trying to buck Jazwinski off. Jazwinski throwing strikes but Rasputin manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Jazwinski manages to get back to half guard. Rasputin wants to take a breather but Jazwinski is having none of it. Jazwinski is looking for a sweep. Rasputin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jazwinski is positioning himself well to prevent Rasputin advancing to mount. Rasputin wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rasputin is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Rasputin is trying to control the action in half guard but Jazwinski is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Jazwinski flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Grigori Rasputin has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Jazwinski throws an overhand right that lands on Rasputin's shoulder, as Rasputin tries to avoid the shot. This has been an exciting period of action! Jazwinski misses with a low kick. Rasputin throws the kick towards the body but Jazwinski avoids it. Jazwinski scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rasputin in his tracks. Jazwinski throws a half hearted mid kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Rasputin. Rasputin throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Jazwinski tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Rasputin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jazwinski dives in and scores a takedown into Rasputin's guard. Jazwinski missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
