Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Abott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luc Lemay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lemay has chosen Gorguts - Obscura as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. David Abott has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lemay looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lemay with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Lemay is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Abott.
Lemay fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Abott looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Abott wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Lemay throws a hook to the side of Abott's head but Abott sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Abott misses with a takedown attempt - Lemay sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Lemay throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Lemay jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Luc Lemay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Abott bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lemay misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Abott fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lemay manages to avoid it.

Abott shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lemay manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Abott stands up over Lemay, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Lemay utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Abott wants to pass the guard but Lemay is keeping the position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Abott accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Abott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lemay swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lemay is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Abott is aware though and is defending well.

That was a close round but I would say that David Abott will probably get the nod.

Abott thows a huge punch but Lemay dodges it nicely.

Lemay pushes a forearm under Abott's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Abott is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Luc Lemay gave a mention to Steel Penn's Laundry 93% in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
