Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fran Kubach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Captain Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kubach comes to the cage accompanied by What happened? by H2O. Fran Kubach could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Captain Morgan's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fran Kubach! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Captain Morgan! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Lou da Vinci and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morgan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kubach's waist but Kubach gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Morgan off to one side. Morgan shoots for a takedown but Kubach saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kubach shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Morgan can't escape the position.
Morgan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Morgan wants to control but Kubach is having none of it. Kubach connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Kubach takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Morgan tries to hold on but Kubach pushes him away. Kubach has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Morgan tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kubach controlling the position easily from mount. Morgan tries to improve his position but instead Kubach has taken his back! Kubach lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Morgan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morgan is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Kubach.
Kubach has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Morgan trying to control but not successfully. Kubach is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Kubach is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Morgan is defending well though. Kubach let's go of the attempt for now. Morgan looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kubach tightening his grip on Morgan, looking for the choke. Kubach softening up his opponent with strikes here.
Kubach controlling well, preventing Morgan from escaping the position.
Morgan looks gassed! Kubach avoiding Morgan 's attempts to control his hands. Morgan turns into Kubach and is now in his guard.
Kubach looking for a sweep. Not yet Kubach, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kubach wants to stand up but Morgan is controlling him. Kubach wants to sweep here but Morgan controlling him for the moment. Morgan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kubach swivels though and keeps the full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kubach is on top in guard.
Kubach trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Morgan manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Morgan won't allow Kubach to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kubach pulls Morgan in close to prevent any damage. Morgan wants to control from the top but Kubach keeps moving. Kubach lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Morgan! Kubach scoring with strikes but Morgan is staying in there. Morgan bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Kubach wants to sweep here but Morgan controlling him for the moment. Morgan trying to control but Kubach is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fran Kubach dominated that round. That's time! Kubach's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kubach gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kubach keeping moving, preventing Morgan from controlling successfully. Kubach is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Morgan is looking for a sweep. Kubach is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kubach is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Morgan looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Well, if Kubach is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Morgan is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kubach sitting and controlling from the half guard. Kubach is pressing down on Morgan's thigh, looking to free his foot. Morgan is holding on for now. Morgan looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Morgan is breathing heavily. Morgan is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kubach controlling the action here. Morgan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kubach passes the guard and advances to mount! Morgan is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morgan throwing hammer fists to the chest of Kubach. What's that going to do exactly? Kubach scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Morgan is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kubach blocks Morgan's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Morgan sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Kubach is thwarting Morgan's attempts to control the position. The fighters are battling for position here. Morgan manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Morgan tries to strike from the bottom.
Morgan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Morgan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kubach controls the pace. Kubach lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kubach stands up from guard. Let's bang! Morgan misses with a takedown and Kubach decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Morgan's guard. Morgan doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Kubach stands up from Morgan's guard - Kubach perhaps looking for a knockout. Captain Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kubach scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Morgan doesn't seem bothered though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fran Kubach dominated that second round. That's time! Kubach's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Morgan tries for a takedown but Kubach circles away easily and Kubach counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kubach works his way into side control. Kubach in side control, just content to control the action for now. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kubach decides to take the fight back to the feet. Fran Kubach is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morgan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Morgan is working an open guard so Kubach takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Morgan with a poor takedown and Kubach counters with a nice double leg into guard. Kubach is stalling in the full guard. Kubach's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Kubach trying to control the position from guard on top but Morgan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kubach decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kubach misses with a kick to the body.
Morgan has a takedown stuffed. Fran Kubach has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Captain Morgan. Morgan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kubach is fending him off so far but Morgan persists. Nope, Kubach circles away and we're back to standing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kubach changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Morgan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Morgan is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Kubach is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Morgan flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Morgan is trying to reverse the position but instead Kubach has taken his back - oops! Kubach just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Kubach has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Morgan is defending well but eventually Kubach manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Morgan has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Fran Kubach!
