29 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jesper Rush! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henry Savagery ! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savagery scores with a jab. Rush acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Rush doesn't manage to clinch there - Savagery circles away.
Savagery closes the distance and clinches. Rush goes for a takedown in the clinch but Savagery prevents it.

Savagery has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rush avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Rush wants the takedown. Savagery is fighting it off but Rush persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Savagery 's guard against the cage. Savagery pulls Rush in close to prevent any damage. Rush tries to free his leg and advance position but Savagery is retaining full guard. Savagery is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rush throwing strikes from guard but Savagery blocks nicely. Rush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rush postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rush wants to control from the top but Savagery keeps moving. Rush in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rush got a little sloppy there for a moment and Savagery has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rush has managed to get both his arms back between Savagery 's legs - danger averted. Rush throws a big elbow that misses. Rush drops back, looking for a kneebar! Savagery looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Savagery looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Savagery ! You can see the frustration on Rush's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rush sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Rush is refusing to be controlled, as Savagery sits in half guard. Rush wants to get back to full guard. Savagery is stalling here. Rush is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Savagery seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rush has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Savagery can't do much from the bottom here. Rush tries to advance to mount but Savagery denies him. Rush scores with punches from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Savagery manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Savagery wants to get back to full guard. Savagery blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rush. Savagery wants to control but Rush is keeping busy.
Savagery works his way to full guard. Good work. Rush keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Savagery 's head. Rush landing with the ground and pound. Rush wants to control from the top but Savagery keeps moving. Rush lands a couple of digs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Savagery has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rush can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Savagery throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Savagery wants to sweep but no luck. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rush is in close to Savagery 's body, working some short punches and elbows. Savagery is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Rush blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Rush lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Rush is in close to Savagery 's body, working some short punches and elbows. Rush throws a big right hand that misses. Savagery controlling Rush's posture. Rush wants to control from the top but Savagery keeps moving. Rush won't allow Savagery to sweep him here. Savagery working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Savagery is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Rush slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Rush lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Savagery down.
This has been an exciting period of action! Rush swings around for an armbar but Savagery sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Rush's guard. Rush keeping moving, preventing Savagery from controlling successfully. Rush looking to hit a scissor sweep but Savagery is one step ahead there.

Rush wants to control the position but Savagery says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Rush regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Savagery . Rush controlling the position. Savagery postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Savagery tries to free his leg and advance position but Rush is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Savagery is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rush is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rush has escaped and now he's on top! Rush chips away with some ground and pound. Jesper Rush overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Savagery wants to stand up but Rush is controlling him. Rush stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Savagery swivels though and keeps the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rush with a nice head shot there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rush trying to control the position from guard on top but Savagery is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rush shoots in and drives through. Savagery sprawls well. Savagery leaves Rush with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Rush closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Savagery manages to escape and get back to his feet! Rush fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rush throws a body kick that misses. Savagery tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rush sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Savagery somewhat. Rush wants to clinch.

Rush shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Savagery sprawls well. Savagery wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rush gets slowly back to his feet. Rush shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rush showed some decent athleticism there. Henry Savagery has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rush scoring with strikes to the body and head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rush perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rush is looking to take a break and control but Savagery is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Savagery tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
And that's the end of the fight! Jesper Rush showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rush, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Jesper Rush! After the fight, Jesper Rush was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
