Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maciej Dobrzynski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erick Villar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dobrzynski comes to the cage accompanied by Sabaton - Uprising. Villar is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Kalamidad. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maciej Dobrzynski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Erick Villar! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dobrzynski shoots in for a takedown but Villar shows good takedown defense. Horrible takedown by Villar or perhaps it was just good defense by Dobrzynski which made him look bad. Villar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dobrzynski as he avoids it easily. Villar shoots in for a takedown but Dobrzynski shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Maciej Dobrzynski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erick Villar. No luck with that takedown attempt from Villar. Dobrzynski moves into range and connects with a jab. Dobrzynski misses with a hook. Villar ducked under it nicely. Dobrzynski swings away with a body shot that misses
and Villar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dobrzynski won't be happy with that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Villar grinds an elbow into Dobrzynski's temple. This has been an exciting period of action! Villar sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Dobrzynski is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Sloppy strikes there by Villar. Villar goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Dobrzynski has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Villar but great work by Dobrzynski. Dobrzynski working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dobrzynski working the ground and pound but Villar is defending the strikes. Dobrzynski in side control, throwing shots but Villar defends. Dobrzynski wants to control but Villar is keeping him busy. Villar is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dobrzynski asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dobrzynski throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Villar parries the strikes from Dobrzynski easily there. Dobrzynski is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Villar to escape.
Dobrzynski wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Villar, who protects the arm well. Dobrzynski with the ground and pound but Villar regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dobrzynski throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Dobrzynski not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Dobrzynski looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dobrzynski thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Villar's head. Dobrzynski lands with a punch from half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dobrzynski wants to control but Villar is keeping him busy. Villar avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Dobrzynski. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Maciej Dobrzynski will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Dobrzynski throws a combination that misses and Villar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dobrzynski's guard. Villar won't allow Dobrzynski to sweep him here. Dobrzynski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Dobrzynski thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Villar's head. Villar is trying to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dobrzynski tries to free his leg and advance position but Villar is retaining full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Villar scores with a takedown into Dobrzynski's guard. Dobrzynski striking off his back but it's not causing Villar any problems. Villar throws an elbow that misses. Dobrzynski uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Villar's guard. Nice move by Dobrzynski! Dobrzynski trying to control but Villar is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Dobrzynski is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Villar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We're going to have a standup here because Maciej Dobrzynski wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Villar moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Dobrzynski looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Dobrzynski looking to score a takedown here. Villar is defending well but Dobrzynski drives through and ends up in Villar's guard. Dobrzynski throws a strike but Villar rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Villar with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Villar won't allow Dobrzynski to sweep him here. Villar connects with a couple of short punches. Villar throwing strikes from guard but Dobrzynski blocks nicely. Villar drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dobrzynski looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dobrzynski looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dobrzynski! This has been an exciting period of action! Villar is trying to escape and get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Maciej Dobrzynski will probably get the nod. That's time! Dobrzynski's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Villar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Villar wants it to stay on the feet. Dobrzynski shoots in looking for a takedown but Villar manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dobrzynski's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Dobrzynski throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Villar was covering up waiting for the punch and Dobrzynski finishes the takedown easily into guard. Dobrzynski with a nice head shot there. Dobrzynski throwing strikes but missing. Villar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dobrzynski is controlling him.

Villar can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dobrzynski controls the pace. Dobrzynski tries to free his leg and advance position but Villar is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Villar wants to get back to his feet but Dobrzynski is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Erick Villar hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Horrible takedown by Dobrzynski or perhaps it was just good defense by Villar which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maciej Dobrzynski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dobrzynski shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Villar napping and manages to drive through into side control! Dobrzynski is looking to take a break and control but Villar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dobrzynski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dobrzynski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dobrzynski wants to lay and pray for a moment but Villar keeps working. Dobrzynski throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Dobrzynski with the ground and pound but Villar regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Dobrzynski is working for a kimura but Villar is defending it quite comfortably.
Dobrzynski misses with a head shot. Villar uses the momentum to regain guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Maciej Dobrzynski showed his dominance in that final round. Well Dobrzynski has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
