Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gunner Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yukii Ogata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ogata's choice of entrance music: Eminem - Not Afraid. Yukii Ogata will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Gunner Reed! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yukii Ogata! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ogata changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Reed looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ogata takes a little break here. Reed wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Ogata tries for a kimura but Reed is defending well. Ogata is trying to get an arm triangle but Reed is defending well. Reed is not content to let Ogata control the position. You can see the frustration on Reed's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ogata moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Ogata wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reed keeps working. Ogata is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Reed's shoulder. That is not cool. Ogata prevents Reed from escaping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Reed's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ogata tries to move into full mount but can't pass Reed's legs. Reed holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Reed connects with a single shot there. Ogata shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reed but Reed pushes him off and we're back to square one. Reed moves into the clinch. Reed digs a right hand into Ogata's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ogata's gas tank. Good body shot from Reed.
Ogata looks winded! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reed content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Reed breaks the clinch.
Reed rushes Ogata and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ogata takes a shot to the head. Reed lands on the inside with an uppercut. Reed pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Reed tries to clinch up but Ogata circles away and keeps his distance. Reed fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reed tries to clinch up. Reed tries to clinch up but Ogata circles away and keeps his distance. Reed scores with a jab to the jaw. Ogata swats away the attempt to clinch by Reed. Reed has managed to clinch.

Ogata is rocked! Reed pushes Ogata against the cage. Reed is working some dirty boxing. Reed pushes off with a quick right hook! Ogata goes down! Ogata tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Reed moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gunner Reed! Gunner Reed tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
