Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Choke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Helmsly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Choke has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Hunter Helmsly has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Choke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hunter Helmsly! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Helmsly has Choke up against the cage in a clinch.
The referee calls for Helmsly to work.
Choke is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Choke leaning his opponent against the cage. Come on Helmsly - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Helmsly misses with a body punch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Helmsly takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Choke tries to pull guard but Helmsly won't allow it.
Choke blocks the elbow strike.
Helmsly manages to break the clinch.
Helmsly darts in and clinches Choke up against the cage. Helmsly pulls guard effortlessly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Helmsly throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Helmsly trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Choke is breathing heavily. Helmsly trying to keep a closed guard but Choke is proving a slippery customer.
Helmsly wants to sweep here but Choke controlling him for the moment. Helmsly wants to get back to his feet but Choke is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Helmsly looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Choke prevents Helmsly from getting back to his feet. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Helmsly is on top in guard.
Choke on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Choke tries to get out of the position. Helmsly trying to control the position from guard on top but Choke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Helmsly is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Choke keeping moving, preventing Helmsly from controlling successfully. Helmsly trying to stand up but can't free himself from Choke's guard. Choke avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Choke looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Helmsly decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Choke gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Helmsly to score an easy takedown into full guard. Choke keeping moving, preventing Helmsly from controlling successfully. Helmsly drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Helmsly jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Choke working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Helmsly doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Helmsly manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Helmsly passes Choke's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Helmsly wants to control but Choke is keeping him busy. Choke wants to sweep but Helmsly has passed to side control! Helmsly working the ground and pound from side control. Helmsly lands a few punches from side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Choke takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Choke gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Helmsly trying to control but Choke is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hunter Helmsly dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Helmsly has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Choke is trying to keep an underhook but Helmsly manages to get the takedown into half guard. Choke is trying to control but Helmsly manages to pass to mount!
Helmsly tries to control but Choke wriggling away. Helmsly lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Helmsly tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Helmsly landing punches. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Helmsly controlling his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Helmsly trying to control but he's not successful this time. Helmsly fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Helmsly looking to control and managing it successfully. Helmsly looking to finish Choke with some ground and pound. This is bad for Choke! Helmsly with good strikes from the mount here! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Helmsly can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Choke is looking to escape. Choke is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Helmsly scoring with strikes but Choke is staying in there. Helmsly wants to control the pace but Choke is squirming around nicely. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee warns Choke that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Choke has given up his back.
Choke is really stuck here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Helmsly's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Helmsly is not going to allow Choke to sit and survive in this position. Choke covering up well under a barage of strikes. Helmsly has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Choke trying to control the hands but Helmsly breaks the grip. Choke looking very determined here, making life difficult for Helmsly.
Hunter Helmsly has got the better of the ground game so far. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Helmsly working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Choke is doing well to defend. Helmsly seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Choke is forced to tap and this one is over!
