Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles Douglas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Cee Tasz!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tasz works over Douglas's head and body with a nice combination.
Douglas attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Tasz closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Douglas quickly recovers to half guard.
Tasz lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Douglas trying to control here.
Douglas is concentrating on defense, preventing Tasz from advancing position.
Tasz is trying to control. Douglas wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Douglas keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Douglas is trying to control but can't.
Douglas avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Tasz.
Douglas trying to control from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tasz wants to free his trapped foot but Douglas is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Douglas manages to get to full guard.

Douglas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tasz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tasz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tasz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tasz is in close to Douglas's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Douglas working for a triangle but Tasz defends it easily.

Tasz drops back looking for a leg! Douglas is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Douglas manages to kick Tasz off! Tasz jumps back into Douglas's guard.
Tasz wants to control from the top but Douglas keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Douglas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Tasz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Douglas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tasz has managed to get both his arms back between Douglas's legs - danger averted.

Douglas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tasz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Douglas seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Tasz looking to pass the guard.

Douglas has his hands on Tasz's head, controlling the position.

Douglas looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Tasz stopping the sweep attempt from Douglas.
Douglas pulls Tasz in close to prevent any damage.
Tasz wants to control from the top but Douglas keeps moving.
Tasz tries to free his leg and advance position but Douglas is retaining full guard.

Douglas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tasz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tasz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Tasz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Douglas looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Tasz gets to his feet. Douglas looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Tasz looks to land a right hand but Douglas moved out of range.
Tasz missing with a left hand there. Douglas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Douglas decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Charles Douglas dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Douglas gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tasz to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Douglas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Tasz stands up over Douglas, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Douglas looking to control.
Tasz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Douglas swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Douglas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Tasz has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Douglas to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Tasz is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Douglas pulls down on the head and he's put Tasz to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Charles Douglas!
