Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doncarlo Giani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonhart Daniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonhart Daniel is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniel gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Giani gets to his feet - Daniel follows without any prompting.
Giani tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Daniel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Giani shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Daniel pinned against the cage. Daniel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Giani misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Giani looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Daniel is fending him off so far but Giani persists. Nope, Daniel circles away and we're back to standing.
Giani changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Daniel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Giani thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Giani creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Daniel sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Daniel is looking to regain half guard here but Giani keeps moving and retains side control.
Giani passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Daniel!
Giani stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Giani shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Daniel's guard.
Giani loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Daniel wriggles free and stands up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

This one could be over very soon! Daniel goes limp - he's gone! Giani jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
