Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tarik Gibson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gram Prodigy! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gibson catches Prodigy with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Prodigy shoots in for a double leg but Gibson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Both fighters circling a little - Gibson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Prodigy. A head kick by Prodigy misses and Gibson counters with a nice uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Prodigy throws a head kick that misses and Gibson counters by clinching up. Gibson lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Gibson lands an uppercut. Gibson working some nice short punches in the clinch. Gibson is leaning against Prodigy and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Prodigy looks winded! A right hook to the body lands for Gibson.
Gibson lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Prodigy. Gibson stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Nice body punch from Gibson - that landed with a thud.
Gibson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Prodigys head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gibson effectively controlling the action here. A left hand lands to the body for Gibson.
Gibson unloads a knee to the mid-section. Prodigy lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Gibson lands a right hand that snaps the head of Prodigy backwards. Gibson works on Prodigy's body with a couple of short punches. Still in the clinch, Gibson scores with a nice short uppercut. The referee is keeping an eye on Gibson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Prodigy is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gibson lands with a left to the head. Prodigy is still on wobbly legs! Can Gibson finish him? The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows. Gibson lands a big right hand that drops Prodigy! The killer instinct kicks in and Gibson finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Gibson!
