Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin comes to the cage accompanied by Got Money by Lil Wayne. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Lee!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Martin clinches with his opponent.
Lee tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Lee manages to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Martin trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.

Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Martin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Martin wants to stand but Lee is controlling his posture from full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Lee is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Martin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lee not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Martin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Lee looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Martin passes into side control.
Lee looks gassed!
Lee is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Martin is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Lee tries to reverse the position but Martin maintains control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Martin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Lee is looking to improve his position but Martin isn't that keen on the idea.

Lee bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Lee sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Martin's guard.

Lee looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Martin is trying to stand up here but Lee is controlling him well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lee is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Martin is just riding it out for now. Lee eventually gives up the hold.
Martin tries to kick Lee off but Lee keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Lee seems to be working for a kimura but Martin defends the submission attempt.
Lee looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dave Lee will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Martin takes the fight into the clinch.
The referee calls for Lee to work.

Lee has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Martin uses from the top position.

Martin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Martin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Martin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lee has an active guard here but Martin has managed to pass into half guard.
Martin perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Lee tries to get to full guard but Martin has control of the leg.
Martin is thwarting Lee's attempts to control the position.

Lee is looking for a triangle but Martin pushes his legs off easily.
Lee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Lee is trying to control the position but Martin postures up.

Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Martin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lee has his foot on Martin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Martin works his way back into a safe position though.
Lee is trying to keep Martin in close.
Lee has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Martin has passed into side control.

Lee is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Martin off and has taken his back!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dave Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Martin tries to stall but Lee uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Martin jumps guard and drags Lee to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Lee drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Martin dives on top into guard.
Martin controls from within his opponent's guard.

Martin stands and steps away. Lee gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Lee misses with a body shot.
Martin on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Lee. Lee obviously looking to wear him down.
No luck for Lee with that takedown attempt.

Martin rushes Lee and presses him up against the cage.
Lee managing to block the knees to the body from Martin.

Lee pulls Martin into guard.

Martin trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Lee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Martin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Martin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lee thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Martin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Martin uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Martin rushes Lee and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Martin blocks a body shot from Lee.

Lee goes for a takedown attempt but Martin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Martin closes the distance and clinches.

Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Martin wants to clinch up but Lee keeps it at a distance.
Lee circles away from the clinch attempt.
Martin fails in his attempt to clinch.

Lee decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lee works his way into full mount!
Martin tries to hold on but Lee postures up.

Martin defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Lee.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ryan Martin.
I think Lee has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
