Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Royale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janathan Ho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Royale comes to the cage accompanied by "Hero" by Skillet. Janathan Ho will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Danny Royale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Janathan Ho! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ho dives in and grabs Royale's left leg, looking for a takedown. Royale pushes down on Ho's head and hops out. Ho swats away the attempt to clinch by Royale. Royale doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ho decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Royale's guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Royale throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Royale looking for a guillotine here but Ho defends easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Royale wants to sweep here but Ho controlling him for the moment. Ho loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Royale is trying to keep Ho in close.
Royale seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Ho trying to control but Royale is working from the bottom. Ho wanted to stand there but Royale had control of the position. Ho must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ho closes the distance and clinches up with Royale, looking for a takedown. Ho pushes Royale against the cage but Royale circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Royale gets caught napping as Ho dives in and scores a takedown. Royale manages to retain guard. Ho wants to pass the guard but Royale is keeping the position. Ho won't allow Royale to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ho wants to pass the guard but Royale is keeping the position. Ho preventing the sweep. Ho trying to control the position from guard on top but Royale is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Royale is trying to keep Ho in close.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Royale throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ho changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Royale tries to avoid it but Ho manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Royale to the ground. Royale escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Danny Royale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Janathan Ho. Royale circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Royale keeps the fight on the outside. Ho wants to clinch. Royale fails with an attempt to clinch.
Royale gets a takedown into half guard. Royale not landing any meaningful shots this time. Ho is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Royale's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Royale's back! Ho missing with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ho biding his time, looking for the opening.
Royale turns into Ho and is now in his guard.
Ho avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ho looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Ho looking to control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Royale advances position into side control! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Royale tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Danny Royale will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Royale misses with a body kick. Royale has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ho ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ho no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Royale is stalling in the full guard. Ho manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Royale manages to get himself to full guard.
Royale is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Royale is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Ho looking to pass the guard. Royale controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Danny Royale. Ho gets caught napping as Royale dives in and scores a takedown. Ho manages to retain guard. Ho working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Royale doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Royale manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Royale forces his way into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Royale trying to control from Ho's half guard. Ho has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Royale postures up in Ho's guard and throws a big left but Ho blocks it. Ho is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Ho is looking to sweep but instead, Royale has passed into half guard.
Ho is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Royale works his way into side control. Royale trying to control the action but Ho is working from the bottom. Ho is trying to control Royale's posture but Royale avoids it. Royale stands up. Ho gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Royale to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ho looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Royale passes into side control.
Ho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Royale. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Royale trying to control the position but Ho is working away. Ho is trying to get back to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Royale is looking to take a break and control but Ho is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Danny Royale dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Royale drives through and clinches with Ho against the cage.
Ho is struggling to control the position. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Ho just misses with a elbow thrown towards Royale's brow. Ho gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Royale is trying to maintain the position but Ho is very close to passing his half guard. Royale is staying active underneath Ho, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Ho is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Royale wants to control but Ho is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Royale wants to get back to full guard but Ho has passed into side control. Royale is trying to improve his position. Royale stops Ho from passing to mount. Ho is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Royale will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. You can see the frustration on Royale's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Ho tries to close the distance and clinch but Royale swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Royale shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ho's guard. Ho trying to control the position.
Ho has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Royale can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ho takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Royale throws a big right hand that misses. Royale controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Royale stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ho swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ho is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Royale is controlling him. Royale trying to control the position from guard on top but Ho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Danny Royale has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Ho lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Royale keeps the fight on the outside. Janathan Ho has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Danny Royale is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ho throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Janathan Ho. I think Royale has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
