Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Belmonte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belmonte has chosen Los Lobos - Cancion Del Mariachi as his entrance music. Rodrigo Belmonte will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brock Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rodrigo Belmonte! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Belmonte's head.
It looks like Rodrigo Belmonte has been cut. Johnson misses the jab. Johnson misses with an uppercut. Belmonte saw that one coming. Belmonte displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Johnson throws out the jab. Belmonte looks for the body kick but Johnson saw that one coming. Johnson dodges the punch combination from Belmonte.
Belmonte throws out a loose jab but Johnson uses good head movement to avoid it. Belmonte jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Johnson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Belmonte under the eye. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Belmonte cracks Johnson with an open hand slap. Belmonte throws a hook to the side of Johnson's head but Johnson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Belmonte throws a jab when Johnson was well out of range. Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Belmonte. That kick from Belmonte tenderised Johnson's leg. Johnson is trying to keep his angry face on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Belmonte comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Belmonte throws a quick inside leg kick. Johnson takes a swing at Belmonte's ribcage but misses. Belmonte wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Belmonte feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Johnson's calf. Nice takedown defense from Belmonte. No joy for Johnson on that attempt. Johnson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Belmonte listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Johnson looks to score with a jab to the body but Belmonte is just out of range. A decent looking cross lands there for Belmonte. Johnson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Johnson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Belmonte. Rodrigo Belmonte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Belmonte scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Belmonte uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Johnson has time to react.
It looks like Brock Johnson has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Belmonte misses with an uppercut. Johnson saw that one coming. Johnson missing with a left hand there. Belmonte was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Belmonte rushes Johnson with punches - Johnson moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Johnson goes down! Belmonte follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rodrigo Belmonte! Rodrigo Belmonte tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
