The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Hanson as Barcos shoots in.
Hanson shoots in but Barcos avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nice takedown defense from Hanson. No joy for Barcos on that attempt.
Hanson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Barcos counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Horrible takedown by Hanson or perhaps it was just good defense by Barcos which made him look bad.

Barcos is landing with some decent strikes but Hanson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Hanson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hanson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Barcos throws some wild stikes that Hanson manages to avoid easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hanson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hanson tries to lock up and control but Barcos gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Barcos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hanson is looking to escape.

Barcos controlling the pace for now.
Barcos pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Hanson is still in real trouble! Can Barcos finish him?
Barcos postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Hanson badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Barcos around the waist but Barcos pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Barcos is the winner by TKO! Barcos jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
