Griffin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Wait and Bleed by Slipknot kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Thompson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Tony Thompson has been cut.
Tony Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson closes the distance and clinches up with Griffin, looking for a takedown. Thompson pushes Griffin against the cage but Griffin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Thompson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Thompson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Griffin was well out of range. Poor timing from Thompson.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Thompson is defended easily by Griffin.
Griffin lands with a nice body punch.
Thompson throws a series of punches but Griffin moves out of range.
A decent looking cross lands there for Griffin.

Griffin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Thompson has time to react.

Thompson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Griffin as he avoids it easily.

Thompson throws a nice looking combination but Griffin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Horrible takedown by Thompson or perhaps it was just good defense by Griffin which made him look bad.
Thompson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Thompson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Griffin throws a powerful right kick. Thompson tried to block low but the kick was high! Thompson was taken right off of his feet! Griffin jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
