Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Blink Deathgrip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tapdance Extravaganza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deathgrip comes to the cage accompanied by Berserker. Blink Deathgrip has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Blink Deathgrip! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tapdance Extravaganza! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Extravaganza ducks under a wild hook from Deathgrip. Extravaganza shoots for a takedown but Deathgrip saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Extravaganza swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Extravaganza shoots in looking for a takedown. Deathgrip tries to sprawl out of it but Extravaganza keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Deathgrip manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Extravaganza looks to score with a jab to the body but Deathgrip is just out of range. Extravaganza takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Deathgrip wants to clinch up but Extravaganza keeps it at a distance. Tapdance Extravaganza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Extravaganza jabbing away but nothing is landing. Deathgrip tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Extravaganza decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Deathgrip wants to improve his position but Extravaganza is controlling well.
Deathgrip moves into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Deathgrip is pulling down on Extravaganza's head. It's preventing any offense from Extravaganza, at least for the moment. Extravaganza throws a strike but Deathgrip rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Deathgrip trying to control the position from guard on top but Extravaganza is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Extravaganza looking for a sweep. Not yet Extravaganza, not yet. Extravaganza throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Deathgrip makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Deathgrip loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Extravaganza working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Deathgrip's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Deathgrip keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Extravaganza's head. Deathgrip won't allow Extravaganza to sweep him here. Deathgrip trying to control the position from guard on top but Extravaganza is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Extravaganza throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Deathgrip trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Deathgrip will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Extravaganza wants to sweep here but Deathgrip controlling him for the moment. Extravaganza trying to strike off his back.
Deathgrip in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Deathgrip postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Extravaganza wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Deathgrip is now in half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Deathgrip tries to pass the half guard into mount. Extravaganza knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Deathgrip stalling. Deathgrip is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Deathgrip is nestled in close to Extravaganza, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Deathgrip is looking for a kimura but Extravaganza is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Deathgrip to get the leverage. Deathgrip missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Extravaganza wants to get back to full guard. Deathgrip is keen to just control but Extravaganza is a slippery customer. Extravaganza is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Extravaganza looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Deathgrip prevents Extravaganza from improving his position. Deathgrip throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Deathgrip lands with a punch from half guard. Extravaganza keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Extravaganza is not content to let Deathgrip control the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Deathgrip trying to mount his opponent but Extravaganza defends it. Deathgrip looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Extravaganza with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blink Deathgrip dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Deathgrip moves out of range as Extravaganza strikes. Deathgrip wants to clinch. A looping hook to the body misses from Extravaganza. Deathgrip does a little dance to reset his feet. Extravaganza rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Deathgrip moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Extravaganza misses with a right hand and Deathgrip counters with a nice leg kick. The fight stays on the outside here - Deathgrip looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Extravaganza fails with a takedown attempt. Extravaganza is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Deathgrip.
That's one minute gone in the round. Extravaganza ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Deathgrip moves away. Extravaganza shoots in but no luck this time. Deathgrip avoids the body shot from Extravaganza.
Extravaganza throws a looping overhand right but Deathgrip ducks down to avoid it. Extravaganza misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Deathgrip.
Extravaganza shoots for a double leg takedown but Deathgrip sprawls well. He's pushed Extravaganza's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Blink Deathgrip has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tapdance Extravaganza. Deathgrip tries to clinch up. Deathgrip moves out of range as Extravaganza strikes. Nice defenses there by Deathgrip. Extravaganza swings for the body but Deathgrip moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Extravaganza throws a right hand that misses
and Deathgrip finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Extravaganza fails with the takedown so Deathgrip counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Extravaganza is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Extravaganza keeping moving, preventing Deathgrip from controlling successfully. Extravaganza avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Deathgrip wants to control from the top but Extravaganza keeps moving. Deathgrip sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Extravaganza's guard. Deathgrip trying to control from half guard but Extravaganza is working away. Deathgrip thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Extravaganza's head. Extravaganza is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Deathgrip scores with a couple of nice shots. Deathgrip takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Extravaganza wants to improve his position but Deathgrip is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Deathgrip controlling the action here. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Deathgrip connects with a nice short shot to Extravaganza's temple. Deathgrip wants to take a breather but Extravaganza is having none of it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Extravaganza blocking the ground and pound attempt from Deathgrip. Deathgrip looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Extravaganza with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Deathgrip slips a nice elbow through Extravaganza's hands, connecting with Extravaganza's forehead. Deathgrip missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Deathgrip lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Extravaganza tries to roll over but Deathgrip keeps him under control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Extravaganza actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Deathgrip working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Deathgrip works his way into side control. Extravaganza is working to avoid the ground and pound but Deathgrip connects with a decent elbow. Blink Deathgrip overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Extravaganza on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Deathgrip cracks Extravaganza with a big elbow.
Extravaganza is rocked! A big shot lands for Deathgrip! That's hurt Extravaganza! Will he recover? Deathgrip fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
