Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitchell Mahood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dwayne Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahood throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Dwayne Tyson has been cut.
Mahood tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tyson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mahood pushes Tyson up against the cage in a clinch.
Mahood gets control of Tyson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mahood will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Tyson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like Tyson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Tyson prevents Mahood from improving his position.
Tyson decides to stand and escape the position.

Tyson has Mahood up against the cage in a clinch.
Mahood pulls guard effortlessly.

Tyson wants to stand but Mahood has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mahood isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Tyson stacks Mahood on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Tyson!
Tyson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mahood has escaped the position, nice work there.

Tyson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Tyson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mahood defends it easily.
Mahood stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tyson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mahood seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tyson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Tyson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mahood.
Tyson closes the distance and clinches.
Tyson jumps guard but Mahood turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Mahood drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tyson pulls his leg out and moves away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Tyson enables Mahood to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tyson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Tyson closes the distance and pushes Mahood back into the cage.
Tyson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Tyson is trying to drag Mahood to the mat but Mahood just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Tyson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mahood gets tackled into the cage by Tyson. Tyson maintains the clinch.
Mahood blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Mahood wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Tyson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mahood lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Mahood shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Tyson counters with a shoot takedown. Mahood fights it but they end up in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tyson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
